After a half a century of photography as a passionate hobby of mine, I realized that the time had come for me to share my photos with the world. As an artist, I’ve always been deeply moved by the beauty of nature and have lived close to her all of my life. And I've always loved the concept of abstract surrealism which has also had a great influence on me as well.

Upon graduating from Rolling Hills High School in 1975 on the Palos Verdes Peninsula (suburb of Los Angeles), my father gave me a professional Canon analog camera as a graduation gift. And that’s when I fell in love with the art form of creating Surreal/Abstract Art which gave me the ability to create dreamscapes through the technique of double exposures.

Although I didn’t pursue becoming a professional photographer and instead followed my heart to become a professional musician/songwriter in the L.A. Music Scene in the 80’s (played with the Minutemen), I never lost my passion for the art of photography and creating Surreal/Abstract Art.

When the age of Digital Photography happened in the 90’s, I was able to expand my artwork by enhancing my photos in the computer program Photoshop. And I learned a lot about art composition and working with computers when I got a degree in Desktop Publishing from the Southern California Occupational Center (SCOC).
 
In terms of my artwork, one of the greatest influences upon me has been that of the 19the century Impressionism. And the artist who has had the biggest influence upon is Vincent van Gogh.

I’ve been blessed to have lived and traveled to some of the most picturesque places such as Los Angeles, Europe, India, Nepal and the Northwest Forests of America which all have turned out to be great canvases for my artwork.
 
As I have developed as an artist over the years, I’ve found it quite inspiring to create artwork that’s based on the physically of our world represented by photography and then to artistically enhance those photos through my imagination in the digital world of the computer. And with that combination, my artwork has revealed to me a pathway for me to walk in-between this world and one that I see within my dreams…
